#NoContactSucksForEveryone
I founded the Red Bird Blue Bird Foundation in 2023 in honor of my parents. But my no-contact story started in October 2016. One week I was at my daughter's engagement party. The next week I wasn't invited to her wedding — or a part of her life anymore. I didn't even know estrangement was a possible thing.
I'm not a therapist. I'm a mom who's been walking through this silent epidemic for ten years, missing my daughter every day since she went no contact.
This hotline number goes directly to me. You can leave a message and I will call you back. I will point you toward what helped me when I thought I was alone.
One thing I have realized — this is a growing epidemic all around the world. Believe me, you are not alone.
When my father passed away in 2017, he told me he would send me bluebirds when he got to heaven and saw my mother — and red birds when he got to see his sisters. I have seen them every day since.
The handprints belong to my daughter when she was young. Red and blue together make purple — the sign of healing, in the heart above the birds.
I founded Red Bird Blue Bird Foundation on August 9, 2023 — my parents' wedding anniversary. My daughter was their world, and my dad had dementia and never understood her absence before he passed. I did this so they would be proud. And I couldn't heal until I made peace with the fact that — no matter how imperfect my parents were — I love them, then and now, unconditionally.
Empowering estranged parents through support, understanding, and resources. Fostering healing, reconciliation, and personal growth for individuals navigating the pain of parental estrangement. Advocating for awareness and compassion within families and society where parents grieving the living can find comfort, empathy, and hope.
If you're just beginning on this path, these books helped me understand I wasn't alone.

We hold Bingo meet-ups at Baran Mediterranean Restaurant the first Wednesday of every month from 6pm to 8pm. Come meet other estranged parents in person, find understanding for your story, and laugh — all while funding our billboard campaign to expand.
Every billboard reaches thousands of estranged parents who didn't know they weren't alone. Your support keeps the campaign going.
